SCHOOL MUSIC is a two-track children and teens' music project made possible through the support of Culture Therapy, a non-profit arts organization dedicated to protecting the right to expression as indispensable to individual and community wellbeing. The first track on the project, "Spring Has Come," is a collaboration between the Brooklyn-based artist and singer-songwriter Rockie Rode and the middle school vocal & band students at New York City's Charter School of the Arts (CSA). The second track, "Suburban Hell," is an original song by the New York post-punk band Gowanus River Swim Team, which is composed of five band members ranging from 11 to 16 years old. The CD also includes an exclusive live version of "Spring Has Come" recorded at CSA's end-of-year vocal showcase in May.
